We’ve been busy, busy doing some spring cleaning around here. You have to love that feeling of clearing out space and freshening every thing up after a long Minnesota winter. Of course, one of the best parts is taking the opportunity to spruce up your space once you are done.
I have spent many a Saturday perusing antique shops looking for the perfect history-inspired accents to decorate my home. Rarely, do I expect to find that special something at a large retailer. Until now. I am head over heels for this sheet set at Anthropologie.
They actually took REAL antique, hand-written love letters from an antique shop in NYC and put them on the bedding. Gorgeous! I would probably spend more time reading them than sleeping in them. Granted, lulling yourself to sleep nightly by reading decades old poetry doesn’t seem like a terrible fate.
What are your thoughts on history inspired home decorating? Have you made any remarkable finds?
