This Weekend
One of the things that I so love about Eagan is all of their festivals. That couldn’t be more true this year, with all of their fantastic events centering around their 150th birthday (which we are official Partners of). However, the event I have most been looking forward to would have to be the one this coming Sunday the vintage baseball game (and jazz concert)!
Their website explains:
As far as baseball is concerned, imagine if the rules promulgated back in 1860 were still the same today. There were no walks. Strikes weren’t called unless the Striker (not batter) had a full swing. Baseball gloves didn’t come along until 1875. Runs were called aces, but a ball remained in play anywhere. Bunting was unheard of. It was a game of fielding, and if you caught the ball on the first bounce (barehanded) or if the base runner overran first base, he would be out.
I really hope you all can make it to Eagan Central Park on August 1 at 4 p.m. for the festivities! Visit the Eagan150 website for all the details!
