Abandoned Architecture

With the current state of the economy I think this is a topic that occurs to even the least historically minded people as tragic.  Abandoned houses are slowly popping up throughout the country, hopefully most of them will be repopulated, but if history has taught us anything, not all of them will be. 

I love this flickr group Abandoned Minnesota, such beautiful reminders of what once was. I thank and applaud the members there for archiving their work so long after the buildings are gone, they can be remembered, enjoyed and appreciated!
